.htaccess redirection for iPads & iPhones

Postby Scotch Tape » Mon Apr 02, 2012 1:29 pm

Is anyone familiar with a successful method for site redirection for the iPad and web-enabled phones? At times, this agency has several listings but currently have very few. Now is the time for site manipulation and I have many hours over a number of days trying to figger this out.

I don't have an iPad, iPod or iPhone to test with. I have only Safari (for Windows) ver. 5.1.5, and use http://emulator.mtld.mobi/resources to test the mobiles.

Note: the site only successfully redirects using a screen-door referencing Safari (via this Windows machine), but there is no screen-door option for (waps?) [NOF XII, using HTML 4.0 w/tables].

I'm unable to get any java functions to work. Published the splash page & target pages in PHP & XHTML w/o success. Tried PHP redirects & just about every thing else I could find, all without success.

Cleared all the java, php and screen-door stuff then went for the .htaccess file. And..... nope.

For ref., here's the current .htaccess, after removing the screen-door method (and the links to the iPad/iPhone pages as they looks too gross). Am I missing some OR & AND references somewhere? Ahhhh !

(note, the 'on-error' page-redirection works, splash page is http://www.whitleymgt.com)

Have you ever asked a question and been completely ignored? If not, goto NetO. Perhaps, even, come to this site.

Have you ever been to a store and were unable to find a salesperson? I'm sure you did, then left for another store to make the purchase.

Either no one is reading this stuff, no one cares, or no one has any answers and are truly amatures. Typically American.

Lose NetO, let them die the long and painful death they are suffering through and either go back to writing the code by hand or buy (any) competitors product. Since using NOF since ver. 4 and having sunk $$ into this company through ver. XII, it's time for them to go. I'm sure they have been letting a lot more people "down" other than myself.

Funny - I've been in business since 1984 and I'm out-living NetO.
