Secure Site Components~Details in the set-up boxes invisible

Postby FusionGirl » Thu Sep 23, 2010 12:54 pm

Did that make sense? I can't see stuff in these set-up boxes.. I experienced the same doing the FAQ's, but that was more like I couldn't see the buttons I was checking and I managed to get that going. But this one is missing most of it. Is this a setting on my computer? I set it to run as admin when I upgraded to 11(win7). I feel like maybe I could figure it out cause I also have the How-to book, but I can't even see the damn options... Chuck?? I am trying to expand my horizons here, lol. I want to lock down the damn FAQ's Admin, cause form time to time, all my questions etc disappear and I am not sure why, so I thought locking it down would be a good place to start. TYIA

I asked about the IE9 beta browser because it breaks some of the windows in Fusion.

Fusion uses the IE engine internally and doesn't care for the new one. It's fine through IE8.

I've never seen the problem you're having, except when you're not running as administrator or when you have your User Sites folder inside the Fusion program folder with Vista or Windows 7.

I'm on Win 7 64-bit and haven't had any blank Fusion windows issues like you're seeing.

Except for when I had the IE9 beta installed for a day.

when you have your User Sites folder inside the Fusion program folder with Vista or Windows 7.

Perhaps this is the problem. I have always had my folders in the program, but I did start with Fusion 7 or 8... bad habit I take it? I just upgraded from both Vista to 7(64bit) and F10 to F11. What do you suggest? Moving my User Sites? Where should I put them? FG

The default location for User Sites with Fusion 11 on Vista/Win7 is in a NetObjects Fusion 11.0 folder inside of your Documents folder.

It's a Windows thing post-XP. The Program Files folder isn't a writable location.

So you are right, I do have that folder in my Documents. I remember now, it threw me off when I installed Fusion. Kind of freaked me out that it was there. Grrrr. The page at least seems locked, when I go there, it just redirects. If I want to work on it though, I'll have to remove the secure page component and republish etc. I may just go with yours. But I fear the DB. Thanks Chuck! FG
