Ecommerce suggestions

Postby artman » Fri May 07, 2010 4:57 pm

I would like to know what people are using for ecommerce and having good luck.

I am think of adding an ecommerce solution to our site.
I would like to set up something along the lines of TigerDirect.com in the way they do their category pages, like this:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/sectors/computers/index.asp
and the product detail page, like this:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=5138

We have tried a few different solutions (OsCommerce, Magento, ZenCart) and did not have very good luck.
Most of our products have multiple options that can change a price. This has been the issue with many of the ecommerce programs. That an trying to get it to match the look of our site.

Thanks

As you've discovered, an off the shelf e-commerce package can be hard to mold into exactly what you want.

I create custom catalogs using PHP and a MySQL database to interface with Mal's e-commerce shopping cart.

It's not cheap, since many hours of programming go into creating a custom solution.

But you get what you pay for.

Let me know your specific requirements if you would like a quote.

If you want to try another canned setup, take a look at CubeCart, if you haven't already.
