Web Calendar

Postby Chappy » Wed May 28, 2008 11:21 am

Hello,

I am using the trial version and find two things that are an issue - the last row of 1's when you first view the calendar and the Net Objects logo.

Has anyone bought the software and does this go away?

You can see my test calender here.

http://www.chappysguide.com/html/fly_tying.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks.
Chappy.
Thanks

Chris

The trial version has the logo... it's not in the release version.

The web calendar is included with Fusion 11. It was just released today. Check http://www.beyondfusion.com/html/storef.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to order.

Hi Chuck,

Any idea about the row of 1's?

What are the system requirements for Fusion 11? I could not find them on the site.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Chappy.
Thanks

Honestly, I don't remember if that's in the trial by design or not. I have a feeling it is.

No row of 1's in the release version of the standalone or the version included in 11.

The system requirement for Fusion haven't changed in years. Any decent system with XP or Vista will have no issues.

I'd recommend 2GB of RAM minimum for either OS. Not just for Fusion. But one gig will work.

I was frustrated at not being able to customize the NoF Calender as I wanted. I'm also a cheapskate and am pretty rusty at programming, so looked at various cheap & easy alternatives including CoffeeCup Calendar. There's a lot of neat third-party calendar programs but after trying a few other free ones I finally settled on InstantCal http://www.instantcal.com which was free for non-profit and limited commercial use and allows me to use Google (or other calendars) as a front end.

My hope is to eventually have others do the event calendar content (alas no one's been silly enough to volunteer yet). But the ability to use other calendars to update content makes for a lot of flexability. You can look at an example on my NoF-built site: http://www.micaflatsgrange.org/html/events.html. Both the mini-calendar and the scrolling event list are running off InstantCal with content pulled from a Google Calendar. It's kinda slick to mouse over the mini-calendar and have the pop-up allow you to email yourself a reminder. It wasn't all that difficult to put into NoF, the ability to insert chuncks of HTML into NetOjbects Fusion is wonderful.
