General Question on layouts in NOF

I'm in the process of updating my site. I was dabbling around with a bigcommerce site which makes heavy use of css to define div areas within div areas. Since my site was originally created on NOF 7, I am trying to get rid of a LOT of inline html coding and replace it with CSS. My question is: Is a ...

Features in Fusion 12

I'm a little confused about some of the features in 12. Are the mobile sitestyles only for creating sites specifically for mobile devices or are they for creating sites that will work on both computers and mobile devices? Can I modify my existing site from 11 to work on both computer browsers and mo...

AllWebMenu and SEO

Chuck, How does AllWebMenus affect SEO in relation to NOF 11 navigation menus? If I were to replace my NOF drop down navigation menus with AllWebMenu generated drop down menus, will it affect my page ranking? If I am not mistaken , NOF turns the whole navigation button into a bitmap. Does AllWebMenu...

Allwebmenus with NOF 11 and Wordpress

We are installing Wordpress on our site. We are having a heck of a time matching our menu bar in Wordpress with the one in NOF 11.

We are thinking of using Allwebmenus because it looks like it will work in both. Have you had any experience with a situation like this?

HTML validation errors

Chuck, I was wondering if you knew a way around this. We are getting a lot of HTML validation errors on our site. Most are related to the fact that our company name has a & in it. So on our titles, links and H1,H2 tags we get validation errors. My concern with changing them to the "&" code is tha...

Re: renaming a site style

I don't think I am calling it the correct thing. If you the Style icon at the top of the screen you go to the styles page. On the left you have a styles tree listing the active site styles. In this list is the name of my site style. That is what I want to change. The css files and anything under thi...

Re: What do you consider a large site

So if I were to go though my site and turn off optimization for each image, would NOF stop using auto generated versions of the image?

For the most part I have only used optimization. I usually size the images in Photoshop.

renaming a site style

Chuck,

Can one rename the style for the site within NOF?

Or do I need to make a new style and apply it to the site?

Thanks

Re: CSS pecking order

Chuck, I understand what you are saying. Here is the order from the header of my first page. <LINK REL="STYLESHEET" TYPE="text/css" HREF="./fusion.css"> <LINK REL="STYLESHEET" TYPE="text/css" HREF="./style.css"> <LINK REL="STYLESHEET" TYPE="text/css" HREF="./site.css"> <LINK REL="STYLESHEET" TYPE="t...

CSS pecking order

I have a question. What is the ranking order of the css files for a site? What trumps what of these files? fusion.css mlr.css multilayoutregionXtab_topX.css Site.css sitewide.css style.css The reason I ask is that I made a .menu class for links. The site.css has some of the .menu code in it but the ...

I started looking through my assets and images. I have a lot of images beginning with a_. I have checked a few so far and they were imported into NOF at the correct size. I should say that I sized them before I put them in. Would selecting an optimization setting from the Settings dialog cause NOF t...

What do you consider a large site

Chuck, This is kind of a general question. Not necessarily specific to my site. But I'll use mine as an example. You fixed some issues on my site while back. You made the comment it had a lot of pages (67). I am stiil having the issue of having to re-optimize every time I open the site. The NOD is 6...

Adding rel="nofollow" to navigation buttons

Is there a way within Fusion to add a rel="nofollow" tag to a navigation button link?

With a text link I can add it using the html button in the link dialog.

I would prefer not to have to add it to a navigation button outside of Fusion.

thanks
